Social Security Taxes

The Social Security Act was established in 1935. It was signed by President Franklin Roosevelt. The benefits actually started in the year 1940. The Social Security Act was a set up to help people to get through financially hard times. The total amount of money that has been paid out to beneficiary in 2005 was estimated to be $556 billion.

I personally think that if we regulated the people who claim disabilities a lot closer we wouldn't be having the problem of the SSA not having enough money to pay for the benefits that have been promised. Right now we need to be focused on not fixing the economic state that we are in right now. We need to do this before focusing on the future. If we don't fix the economic crisis that we are in now we may not have a bright future to worry about protecting.

The list in the paragraph above has only a few of the benefits that having a computerized accounting program is able to offer. The computerized accounting software allows you more time to do other tasks and it keeps you organized.

From what I have learned in my accounting class it is important to still know the accounting steps and how the whole accounting process works. The computer only eliminates the human error, the computers can still have "technical difficulties".

Emails... Good or Bad?

E-mails in businesses are good in some ways. They allow you to communicate with speed, but we have become too dependent on the internet. We need to become independent again as a country.

Dependency is the only problem that I see with e-mails, but I have not had time to research many of other people's varied opinions and observations. I do believe that Americans need to go back to doing things on our own, as opposed to letting the internet or even other people do things for us. The lack of independence is why so many young people including myself are becoming over weight. We don't have to do anything. If we were to have to write letters and walk to the post office or the mail box we may be in a little better shape.

Now there are some good things about e-mails. For instance, people can get more things accomplished in less time. If something were urgent then it would be quicker to contact whoever needed to be contacted. Speed is a positive attraction to the e-mails especially in businesses.

Spring Break 2009

Well I had the option of going to my Grandparents house with my mom and two sisters but I decided to stay home with my dad. I thought I was going to be able to work and get some cash flow heading my way.

Why do I need cash? Well have been given the opportunity to head over to Europe on April 4-12, so I need to have some cash in the case that I have to buy something that comes up. Wish me luck.
